Sheer Berenj

Based on a recipe from A Choice collection of Hindoostanee Dishes: Manuscript Review by Julia Scott

1 cup rice
2 cups water
4 cups milk
1/2 cup rose water

Preparation and Cooking
Wash rice and cook with water for 20 minutes. Add milk and cook on low for 1 hour, stirring so it does not stick. Add rose water and pinch of salt in last ten minutes. Serve with honey or preserve on top.
